You'll learn the foundations of ethical facilitation, nervous-system safety, and sustainable leadership—plus the strategy behind creating and filling a successful retreat.

Place: El retiro, Medellin
is a charming mountain town located about 45 minutes from Medellín. Known for its cool, spring-like climate and scenic landscapes, it offers a mix of rolling green hills, lush forests, and peaceful countryside. The town has a relaxed pace of life, with a central plaza surrounded by local cafes, artisan shops, and traditional Colombian architecture. Christina Oyola
Founder, Disabled Veteran & Trauma-informed Community Advocate Christina is the heart of That Day Community Corner, a space for healing, learning, and shared experiences. With lived experience and a deep commitment to inclusivity, she helps facilitators feel seen, heard, and empowered as they guide others. Christina believes that when facilitators are cared for and supported, participants can experience meaningful growth, safety, and connection—and small acts of intentional care can create lasting impact.

Time to rest, journal, or integrate before an early night.
8:00 AM — Meditation & Gentle Movement
A grounding practice focused on regulation, breath, and embodied presence.
9:30 AM — Breakfast
11:00 AM — Off-Property Experience
Departure for a guided flower cultivation visit and horse experience, offering:
- Connection to nature
- Somatic regulation through environment and animal presence
- Learning through experience rather than instruction
7:30 PM — Dinner
Return to the property for a nourishing evening meal and rest.

A structured learning circle covering:
- Trauma-informed group dynamics
